I'm flying into Paris

Terminal

On the sky outside, three drops of metal surge upwards
Into excitement.

I sip on my drink across Dior
You flash by
Flash Flash

You remind me of someone
I once knew.

By the time I stand up to queue,
you're beside me

"You look really good" some British twang
"Where are you headed" my eyes wide
"Paris. You?"
"I'm flying into Paris"

They both look the other way.
These European kids, look at them jump around
from continent to continent.

I see you again in Amsterdam
outside some place with bright neon lights

You are staring at the faded stars like a lonely star
You are so beautiful and blond.

I take your hand,
and you ask me from so far away

if I'm flying into Paris with you.
